Social Media Marketing

Starting off with two very important components!

1. Know Your Audience

  • Demographics: Understand your target audience’s age, gender, location, interests, and behaviors. This is incredibly important, and when you see your audience for who they are and post based off that, success is ensured in your marketing strategy!

2. Choose the Right Platforms

  • Platform Relevance: I could talk about this all day! Your business should focus on social media platforms that are most popular with your target audience. Common platforms include Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and TikTok. Take a step back and look at what platform supports your content the most. Is it Pinterest? Instagram? Once you see this, really push your marketing strategies and be ready to see growth! However, it is also important to continue utilizing all and any platforms, just find your focus and have fun!

3. Create Engaging Content

  • Visuals: Use high-quality images, videos, and graphics to capture attention. Visual content typically performs better than text alone. This is typically where your branding photographer steps in! For this strategy, your business can outsource to another local business and let them do this step for you.

  • Variety: Mix different types of content, including posts, stories, videos, infographics, and user-generated content. Again, this is an enjoyable part of social media. Find what your small business produces and create entertaining posts based off just that, easy!

  • Value: Provide valuable content that educates, entertains, or solves problems for your audience. This can include how-to guides, industry news, tips, and behind-the-scenes looks. Additionally, your small business can teach other entrepreneurs how to post on social media. Not only will this generate more activity, it can also provide community.
