Customer Feedback and Reviews; A Tool That Should Be Utilized
Customer feedback is a powerful tool for growing your business, and unfortunately, sometimes the one tool that is constantly overlooked. It provides valuable insights into what your customers think about your products or services. It helps identify areas for improvement in how a business operated. And it can inform your business strategy, what a win! Therefore, I want to explain several ways to effectively use customer feedback to grow your business.
Collect Feedback Regularly
First on the list to utilize customer feedback, is to of course collect feedback regularly! This can happen through a few different ways.
First, sometimes it can happen organically. As service providers, when we deliver a product, sometimes we receive the feedback right there. Other times, it can be delivered slightly later. This way is preferred, as usually it means positive feedback, however there can be positives and negatives at a single time. Therefore, to get honest customer feedback we have to dig a little more. This way of feedback is most popular in my business, however it didn’t start that way. And I had to go down other routes to receive feedback.
Secondly, another way is to send feedback forms to past clients! This can be super easy and super rewarding. These forms can be easily found on most service providing websites. Additionally, Having feedback forms readily available on your website or app can also leave customers willing to share. And lastly, social media is another forum for customer feedback. By monitoring what is shared about your brand, most likely customer feedback will appear.
Receiving customer feedback is so important, and just the beginning.
Analyze Feedback
Categorize Comments: Now, it’s time to organize all those words. One can group feedback into categories (e.g., product features, customer service, pricing) to identify common themes. By doing this, a business can look and focus on different sections that have more feedback. When a business takes reviews and uses it to reveal upgrades required to grow. Their business will scale to new levels!
Respond to Feedback
Here a few ways after analyzing your reviews to best help your business!
Acknowledge and Thank: Always thank customers for their feedback, whether it’s positive or negative. This leaves a positive customer experience no matter what and should always be a priority in the customer experience.
Address Issues: Respond to complaints or issues promptly and provide solutions. This is crucial as if this is not completed, then the information received may be for nothing.
Share Positive Feedback: Highlight positive feedback on your website, social media, or marketing materials to build trust. Additionally, this is also crucial. People want to hear from people. Future customers will feel at ease when they hear the positive reviews of others. By posting these on social medias and websites, it will deliver you customers.
